Funky Kong had left Diddy with Donkey, and wondered for the third time that night if that was the wisest idea. Sure, it was his younger brother that had a tendency to sometimes act older, but they went on so many adventures that could have ended up in disaster.
Funky soon found himself at the park and looked at the time. Well, he had a couple hours before work, and he liked to relax. He soon saw one of the drinking fountains weren't working. He looked around to make sure no one was watching and he worked. He sung to himself and then tinkered a bit more before putting everything back together. He sat down on the grass, looking at the sky with his purple sunglasses on. "Awesome night for a coolio dance. But which one will be my special today?" He mused to himself.

Link strolled through the park, on foot. It was late, and he was...patrolling. Okay, so he was just taking a walk after a rough day of dealing with druggies and/or immigrants. The two things he hated most. It gave him a headache just thinking about it, but the job had to be done.
It was then, under the dim light of the moon and nearby streetlights, he saw a monkey--wearing sunglasses. His foot quickly and sharply connected with the ape's ribs. Nothing too hard, just enough to get his attention. "Kinda late to be wearing shades, isn't it? Actually...it's about too late to be out at all. State your business, Ape."

Funky Kong hadn't expected someone of the police force to kick at him like this man did. He grunted and looked up at the man, lifting his hand and readjusting his glasses. "Yo, officer. Haven't you heard it's not nice to kick a monkey when he's working like a cooljet?"
Funky glanced at the water fountain and pressed the button, smiling to himself when it worked. "I was doing community service, dog. Are you going to arrest someone for a good deed, yo?"

"The water fountain is one thing. Stargazing is different, Monkey." He spoke with authority. His blue eyes locked with the...sunglasses.
"You best watch your step. I can't arrest you, but I can damn well watch you. My goal is to keep these streets clean. And I will."
